Apple Hill Full Moon Snowshoe @ Apple Hill Trail Head

CANCELLED!!! Due to the impending weather and a portions of the ice ruin trail being under water. Stay tuned for Spring hike dates and times!!!

 

We will depart from the Apple Hill Trail Head @ the intersection Marsh Point Road and East Shore Road in Morris @ 6pm. The hike meanders subtly up Apple Hill, where we hope to catch a beautiful view of Bantam Lake and the surrounding hills under the Super Moon!! A great hike for veteran and new snowshoe enthusiasts!!

Following the hike we will enjoy a cozy camp fire, snacks & libations!

Camp Columbia Full Moon Snowshoe @ Camp Columbia Trail Head
Jan 31 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

We will depart from the Camp Columbia Parking area off Rte. 109 in Morris @ 6pm. Camp Columbia was established by Columbia University for their School of Surveying. The hallmark of the park is the 75-foot-high observation tower built in 1942 by members of Columbia University’s Class of 1906. The tower is the only remaining structure on 591 acre property. We will hike through the remains of the camp, which some note to be haunted, where we hope to catch a beautiful view of the Super Moon!! A great hike for history buffs and  veteran and new snowshoe enthusiasts!!

Following the hike we will enjoy a cozy camp fire, snacks & libations!

Town of Washington Winter Fest! @ River Walk Pavilion
Feb 10 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Come join in the fun!! We will be at the River Walk Pavilion from 1-4 with our TUBBS Snowshoes, offering guided snowshoe walks and demos.In addition to snowshoeing you will also enjoy huddling around the fire, eating s’mores, playing in the snow and being with friends and neighbors.

Litchfield Town Beach Full Moon Snowshoe Hike CANCELLED!! @ Litchfield Town Beach CANCELLED!!!

We will depart from Litchfield Town Beach @ 6pm and depending on our winter, we will either head out onto Bantam Lake and listen to the sounds of the ice talking or head out into White Memorial and make our way down the Ice House Ruins Trail and explore the site of a commercial ice harvesting operation active from 1908-1929 under the full moon! A great hike for history buffs, adventurers, veteran and new snowshoe enthusiasts!!
