Beginner or advanced, SUP Yoga will provide you with a captivating mind, body, and spiritual experience. Yoga on a standup paddle board will only intensify the benefits of yoga by developing your core muscles as you use them to balance. Our classes, instructed by certified SUP yoga instructor Melissa Pressmar, include a diverse range of poses and sequences, modified for all abilities of yogis and paddlers.
SUP Yoga restores a mindfulness and connection to nature as you float freely through the water surrounded by the picturesque Litchfield Hills.
We provide the equipment needed to participate…board, paddle, pfd. Or, you may bring your own!!!

Participants must cancel within 24 hours of session to receive a full refund for the session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hour notice will not receive a refund. In the event that the session is cancelled due to lack of enrollment or weather, participants will receive a full refund or are welcome to attend a future session. Sportsmen’s will notify participants of a cancellation in a timely fashion.

Melissa took her first yoga class in 1998. In the years after, there was no consistency in her practice and she often struggled with feeling unsatisfied when leaving her mat. She wanted to connect to herself as a whole: mind, body and spirit, but often felt like one of the three was missing. On her journey for balance, she found Reiki and a meditation practice, but was missing the link to stay physically fit and honor her true self as a whole.
Melissa was a runner for many years, but eventually her knees, couldn’t handle all the miles. She wanted to find something that would honor her spirituality and her desire to stay physically fit. Melissa opened her Reiki studio in a local Yoga studio. (She has been a Reiki Practitioner since 2008 and always had a studio in her home). Shortly after moving her studio into the yoga studio, Melissa rekindled her relationship with yoga. This time she knew it was different. She finally found a style of yoga that honored her mind, body and spirit. Every time she stepped off her mat she felt complete. That is when she decided that becoming a yoga teacher would not only serve her mind, body and spirit, but she would be able to broaden her skills in helping others on their journey to a balanced life.
Melissa took a 200 hour training course with Heather Rems Korwin and is starting her 300hr training. She studied Baron Baptiste Power Yoga. She has taken many classes and CEU’s with many inspiring and established Yoga Teachers known around the country. Melissa’s love for balancing the mind, body and spirit encourages her to continue trainings and classes that enable her to come into alignment and help others do the same. Namaste. And so it is.
